Rubinetterie Treemme and POLI.design, together for the “AD AQUAM” workshop

Rubinetterie Treemme pays close attention to sustainability, seeking out and studying leading-edge design solutions. This requires both competence and experience, as well as a dynamic, innovative vision.

This vision is also reflected in our approach to the development of new talent, and has prompted Rubinetterie Treemme to embark on a collaboration with POLI.design, to promote projects and activities with the students of the University and make their business expertise available to them.

The first step in this collaboration is the “AD AQUAM” project: a workshop that brings on board a selected group of students and young designers from POLI.design and the School of Design, under the guidance of the teachers Matteo Ingaramo and Federico Elli, assisted by Emanuel Pacelli and Eugenia Chiara.

During an encounter at the University, Rubinetterie Treemme provided the indications and the methodology for the development of a series of sustainable taps, in line with the company’s philosophy and values. The end product will have to be conducive to consumption that saves energy and water, and the production processes must have low environmental impact.

The project, which will be developed by interdisciplinary groups of 4/5 members each, will also have to consider the use of components that can be easily repaired and replaced, to ensure lengthy duration of the product.

The company will monitor the development of the projects, assisting the students with operations, supporting them and accompanying them throughout the process.

The encounters between Rubinetterie Treemme and POLI.design will take place in various stages, and will include visits to the company, review of the projects and delivery/presentation of the works.

After a careful evaluation of the drawings, Rubinetterie Treemme will name the winner of the workshop, which, together with the other projects, will be displayed during the “AD AQUAM” event at the 2024 Fuori Salone in Milan, held in the external areas of the ADI Design Museum.

Rubinetterie Treemme’s commitment to promoting a design and research culture in the tap sector is also evident in this important collaboration with POLI.design, in support of innovation and up-and-coming creativity.
