The architect Alessandra Bertini and the designer Gianluca Belli, with diverse training and experience behind them, came together in 2007 to found Phicubo, in which they share the same project approach and aspirations.
Design as a means to rethink the world cannot fail to pursue sustainability, an issue close to Phicubo’s heart, and the studio has made an active contribution to the research and development of biodegradable materials and their application.
Over the years, the on-going search for new design solutions, materials, production methods, and functions has led Phicubo to engage with an increasingly wide network of companies and skilled professionals in sectors ranging from furniture and exhibitions to pharmaceuticals and urban furnishings.
The studio’s collaboration with Rubinetterie Treemme has resulted in the creation of numerous ranges, including Philo, winner of the Design Plus Award.
