Massimiliano Braconi was born on 25 November 1974 in Civita Castellana. After obtaining a high school diploma in Art Studies, he received a degree from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Rome.
In 2000, he founded his own design studio in Viterbo, and began working on projects with international companies as a designer, art director and artist. He won the A'Design Awards in 2016, the German Design Award in 2017, the Icon Awards in 2018 and 2019, the ADI Index in 2019 (Compasso D'oro 2020 Selection), the Archiproduct Design Awards in 2019, the Good Design Awards of Chicago in 2020 and the IF Design Award in 2020.
Braconi describes his continually evolving style as that of an “unconventional, visionary artist”. He brings his utopian ideas to life in the widest, most liberating sense possible, advancing his art in the constant pursuit of an aesthetic that shapes the authentic experience of the individual. His continual search for uncommon visual and sensory concepts blends art with design, creating his very own, pure, visual language unfettered by the influence of more familiar forms of expression.
