Giancarlo Vegni

Giancarlo Vegni began working as a designer before he turned 20, and started his career in 1968 working with designer kitchen manufacturers.

A few years later, he founded Vegni Design, and over his 50 + years in the business he has designed more than 1500 products for companies in Italy and abroad.

In addition to industrial design, the studio also operates in the fields of architecture and interiors, in which Vegni has devised projects of considerable importance, in particular for companies requiring effective brand positioning.

Vegni Design is also involved in graphic and communication design, the new direction for artistic directors working for companies in the industrial design sector.

When it comes to industrial design, Giancarlo Vegni has a preference for the round shapes found in Nature, which he believes are historically congenial to Man. This idea is part of the studio’s philosophy of understanding the essence of the customer, with a view to designing objects and interiors that reflect who they are.
