Eco-sustainable tap design
Today’s customers ask more from a tap than function and style, and decisive factors in our choices include the environmental impact of the manufacturing process and the ability of the tap to cut water consumption.
Here at Rubinetterie Treemme, we’ve always focused closely on energy saving. The growing awareness and attention paid to eco-sustainable issues have confirmed that the path we chose to go down years ago was the right one.
Our aim is to respect the environment during the design stage of our technologically advanced products, and throughout all the stages of the manufacturing process through to the finished product.
How can a tap be eco-sustainable?
A product can be described as eco-sustainable when it is made with respect for the environment, using specific materials and technologies based on transparent management of manufacturing processes.
The most eco-compatible material used in the tap sector is steel: 100% recyclable, durable, resistant, hygienic and safe for both the environment and users.
Why do we point this out?
Because product sustainability also regards human health. Steel does not alter on contact with water and air, maintaining its original characteristics over the years.
If it becomes damaged, it can easily be restored to its initial condition with a satin finishing or polishing process.
The Rubinetterie Treemme collections that boast these characteristics are 5mm and 22mm, which are able to limit the flow of water to less than 6 litres per minute.
We’ve combined an eco-sustainable approach with a modern, original design.
The 5mm tap collection, which has won a series of awards, features some of the most representative steel models, and guarantees impressive savings on water thanks to its innovative technology. The delivery of water from the spout and all the mixing dynamics inside the tap are performed in a thickness of just 5mm. The same thickness characterises the levers and the tap components.
The distinctive feature of the 22mm collection is a new technology that reduces the size of the technical elements to a minimum, and 22 mm is the diameter of all the parts of the tap, from the spout to the controls.
For maximum technical reliability, teamed with respect for the environment, the 22mm collection is crafted in Aisi 316L stainless steel.
